RS2 VIETNAM IN A NUTSHELL.

User Rating: 8 | Rising Storm 2: Vietnam PC
Rising storm 2 Vietnam has exploded onto my game monitor like fresh napalm on a Saigon morning. In a nutshell i found the game to be a fresh take on the fps genre as it continues to devolve from its hyper modern potrayal of battle as played in infinate warfare to a more historicaly accurate and raw setting. Now we all know we have Battlefield 1 to thank for this backward trajectory. I for one am of the opinion that RS2 vietnam is equally as good a game and heres why.. The gameplay is smooth enough and the controls and player interface are as good as any fps out there. The soundtrack is amazing as it can grip you as you crawl through dense jungle, poised and finger ready at the trigger in anticipation of your enemy advances. The Dificulty is as about as hardcore as you can get but rewarding at the same time. The landscape, especially on jungle maps make it hard to spot you enemys and the game physics regarding gun fire seem to point towards real life issues such as recoil and enviroment effects. The game actually made me appreciate how intense actual war could be because you feel that one step too far or a lapse of concentration concerning your surroundings means game over. All in all i see this game having decent longeivity because of its accessable gameplay but also its challenging difficulty that will keep hardcore players returning. The pros - Its reasonably priced, atmospheric, runs well. Challenging. The cons are its on pc only at the moment. Score 8/10
