Fun to play, nice visuals, great sound - but broken controls!

I don't make it a habit to form an opinion of a game I haven't finished, or given up on. But there are issues I must write down asap. Firstly, the game is fun, even immersive, which is usually a very good sign for a game of this type. There is nothing really new in this game, but what it does it does well. That said, I have to say the combat controls are frustrating, often downright primitive and terrible! Don't expect the razor-sharp controls of some other games in this genre, instead this feels like it never really went beyond the beta-phase. This must be improved with a patch, or this game will be passed on simply because of this fact. Let me be clear though, it's not that the controls are unlikeable (as was the case for some when playing The Witcher), but it's more of a really bad response. For example if you try to quickly evade an attack and you side step, there isn't that natural sense of accomplishment but rather you have to center on the opponent by which time he/she hit you - really frustrating. Or better yet, you do a quick evade but instead of being able to attack them, they quick-move (shift spawn) in front of you so your evasive tactics were pointless. This is typically really bad in a game, especially when evading is part of the combat. The game is fun though and I look forward to keep playing it! Great effort, but for sure we need a solid patch to perfect it!
