Worth the wait.

This game, although not officially a member of the Gothic family, is the best in the series. I am running it on the highest settings and it runs and looks amazing (4 gigs of RAM, GTX 280 Videocard, quad core processor in Windows 7 64bit).
The game builds on what was great about the Gothic series and rights many of the wrongs that the franchise suffered from. I am experiencing no stuttering or broken quests (yet). The combat is difficult, yet enjoyable.
Once in the game you begin to feel that you are in a living, breathing world filled with endless possibilities. It seems this game will have unlimited replayability.
The one thing that freightens me is the map. It looks like it may be a little small as compared to Gothic 3, Two Worlds or Oblivion.
I can honestly say that I will be playing this game for a long time (or at least until Dragon Age Origins is released).
Risen definitely fills the void in the RPG computer game market.
