Martial arts and guns blazing.

Being a big Jet-li fan, I anticipated playing Rise to Honour. Jet li done all the work for this game himself so you truly get a feeling of what it’s like to fight as him. To a certain extent of course.

I think that Rise to honour would maybe only appeal to fans of Jet-Li. It has a very tricky fighting system that requires you to use mainly just the 2 analogue control sticks, which may make the game not that accessible to most people. The shooting levels in the game are ok. Simple enough controls to please even the casual shoot ‘em up fans. The “sneaking missions” though, I found were the worst part of the game.

The game is not all as bad as I have made it out to be so far. It has it’s moments. Parts that spring to mind are getting thrown in to a mirror in an elevator by a big angry looking dude, and using flying knees to knocks bad guys off their bikes.

As far as the story line goes, it reminds you of your typical martial arts, guns blazing Asian movie. Jet –Li supplies his own voice-overs both in foreign language and English, although voice and subtitle language can be altered in the options menu. If you are a big Jet-Li fan, you will already have this game, if not, try it out. You never know, you might like it.
