A pretty solid game.

User Rating: 7.1 | Rise to Honour PS2
Let Li: Rise to Honor is an action-adventure game. The game is designed sort of like a movie, and with the many cutsceens and the story, Rise to Honor feels very much like a movie. The story is fairly basic, about the kind of story you'd expect in your average Jet Li/martial arts movie.

Graphically, Rise to Honor is very good. The character models and environments will not disapoint. And Jet Li's character looks a lot like him. And you'll be glad to know that Jet Li did his own voiceovers for the game. Also whenever the game is in Hong Kong, you can choose between Cantinese with english subtitles, and english. The sound effects in this game are also good.

The gameplay however, is the major downfall in Rise to Honor. Right analog stick is your main attack button, and you have to push it in the direction of your opponent to attack with it. L1 is the action button in the game. The buttons you'll be mostly using are right analog stick, L1, L2, R1, and R2. This is odd, because the 4 main buttons (square, circle, triangle, x) are left ignored. Most of the time, you will be fighting many people at the same time. This feels the game a martial arts movie feel to it, but this will get tiring and painful to the thumbs over time.

Overall, Jet Li: Rise to Honor is a pretty good game, although very short. I made it 1/4 through the game in just 1-2hours of gameplay, so this is best to be left for a rental.
