Revolution X doesn't have anything worthwhile to offer anybody.

In Revolution X: "Music is the Weapon". At least the game tries to make you think so, because, I guess it sounds cool and they needed some way to tie in Aerosmith (in hopes of giving this game something to make it stand out). However, in the actual game, bullets prove to be a better weapon than music (imagine that) and the hopes of doing anything to make this game stand out fail completely. Revolution X isn't even entertaining by being bad, it is just boring as boring can be. . The game is a light gun shooter with no compatible light gun (no super scope). Basically, the game boils down to holding down the B-button on the controller and moving the crosshair over on of the thousands of dudes in yellow jumpsuits who you will be tired of by the time you shoot one of them. Believe it or not, you already own this game: but it's called a computer. The gameplay has the same amount of depth, move the cursor over the target and press the button, except on the computer, you could be rewarded by booting up a much more interesting game or opening up an insightful and entertaining review (like this one).

. Though there is a total lack of any depth or entertainment to be found in the gameplay, the graphics and sound don't suck quite as hard. Though, that isn't to say that they don't suck, because they do. The areas you go in are incredibly uninteresting (night club, city) and slowdown runs rampant. Considering that this game barley has to animate anything, the fact that there is so much slowdown is inexcusable. Though the game is som bad anyway that the slowdown doesn't drag it down as much as it could a good or mediocre game. There is no feedback for when you are getting shot. The sound has some moments of quality, the voice clips are some of the best quality to be found on the Snes and sometimes the music actually begins to resemble something Aerosmith would play. At least, they would play it if their music was composed of the same 5 second loop played over and over.

Revolution X, is a really bad game. The only way the game could be considered fun is by playing the two player mode and by talking to your friend about something completely unrelated to Revolution X. Of course, you could do that with pretty much any other game in existence, so, go play one of those.
