Now i must say, alot of people who have played this game said it was the worst game ever made, aerosmith sucks and never play it. i my self beleive all these statement to be untrue. the game has somewhat some entertainment value, but i guess you have to be a fan of aerosmith to like the game. i was farely young maybe 7 or 8 when i first played the game and i was a huge fan of it, aswell as aerosmith. the game is pretty much a first person shoot em up, along the lines of lethal enforcers and terminator 2: the arcade game. the game is quite easy, i beat it in one sitting and was shocked. apparently you end up finding out that you cant party with aerosmith because you didnt rescue them. but then i beat the game again but this time finding out how to rescue them, each stage has their own band member you need to rescue, i must say there isnt much replay value to the game, its kind of like a beat the game once or twice and never touch it for like 5 years until one day you decide to beat it again. its also good as a collectors item i guess. through the game you'll find your self dieing many times, but you also get 25 credits so running out wont be that easy. basic story line of the game is you are a hard core aerosmith fan and there is a nasty organization trying to take over the planet by brainwashing the children, taking away everything thats fun, and of coarse kidnapping aerosmith,there is also a giant concert aerosmith is gonna play real soon and its up to you to make sure they get there and kick a whole lotta as s while you're doin it. the graphics were said to be horrible, not true ,well only if you are playing the genesis version or the snes version the graphics are obvisoly horrible then, and even then there not so bad, you can still make out the band members and see their faces quite clearly with a bit of blur and major pixelation. it is only when you play the actual arcade machine coin op version or the versions released for sega saturn and playstation that the graphics are crisp and sharp and the life like animations are really life like with minimal pixelation. through some parts of the game you will hear some aerosmith tracks like ragdoll, sweet emotion, love in an elevator, eat the rich, and walk this way which is a reward for finishing the game. if you want a game with pointless shoot em up action which will give you some fun for about an hour, than its a good game, also if you're a die hard fan of aerosmith then this game kicks ass, which i think it does. in fact i'll probably find my self playin it as soon as i finish this review. i give it a high score because it is quite odd and original and like i said a complete trip because aerosmith has a flippin game. i am a fan i can't help it, this game kicks some serious a ss
THE GOOD: you get to hear some classic aerosmith songs, see the life like 2d characters in the game, and nice voice overs by the band.lots of credits, and major action, also you get to rescue some chicks and of coarse aerosmith
THE BAD:if you like aerosmith, there is nothing bad about it, just a good way to kill an hour or 2. if you dont like aerosmith this game is horrible i guess. and so are you i mean who doesnt like aerosmith?!!?!!?!?!?
