Baffling...most of the time.

Return to Zork was easily one of the most bizzare games I've ever played. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I see why it was given away for free. The setting was strange...the way you interact with other characters was poorly designed...the interactive video characters were odd...the game seemingly couldn't even be completed without the help of a stradegy guide...death would happen constantly and unexplainably.

THE GOOD:
-it looks good...
-the opening trailer music is nice

THE BAD
-everything after the intro could have used a lot more time in the pot cooking.

I wouldn't recommend you waste your lifetime, to be frank.
