Derivative single player, awesome multiplayer...

Zombies and Nazis to shoot, sounds like a great premise... yet some how it was utterly ruined.

Much like almost every other game that just had to be made with the Quake 3 engine, this game is just as bad (at least when referring to the single player). You got boring, static weapons, all of which behave the same and are uninteresting (aside from the flame thrower). You then got stupid, boring enemies, who behave in a manner not conducive for survival. Lastly you have boring maps of shades of brown. These things wouldn't be unbearable if the story was vaguely interesting... but it isn't. Zombies and Nazis, magic users, etc. It's just bad; take a B-movie, but take out any humor that could be found (intentional or otherwise). Even the voice acting is just plain horrible (oh no, da american!).

On a different tangent, the multiplayer aspect is excellent. As boring as the weapons were, some of them have a niche in squad combat. There are class restrictions on usage of the weapons, but this is for the better, as Commanders (or whatever the class is called with artillery support) would be over powered. The maps were well designed, like the D-Day map, with positions for any kind of play style (sniping, trench fighting, etc).

Over all, the two aspects of this game just cancel each other out... just play Enemy Territory instead.
