Play It ... Before Resistance 2!
The second time around was much more satisfying. Once I got things sorted out, I found the game very intriguing. The extensive and versatile weapons in the game made it much more interesting, something that I find more fun in the original game than the more popular Resistance 2.
Art work here is good, but it is muted, almost monochrome. I didn't find that a problem, but I watch black and white movies too, something that some folks do have a problem with. R2 is much more colorful than the Resistance, but Resistance has a somewhat more developed storyline, at least to my ear.
Although there is a major supporting female character, there is no fan service here and even the monster horde is completely male. So it goes, sadly.
My recommendation is play this one first, it will enhance your Resistance 2 enjoyment and I am suspect you will find Resistance well worth your time and money.
