RE for DS is a fun portable experience for Resident Evil fans.

Resident Evil: Deadly Silence is basically just the good ol' RE. Yep, and it's portable. The most fun is the fact you can go anywhere and have Resident Evil to play. The mechanics are a bit clunky, but it is expected when you take the askew camera angles and awkward walking mechanics and have a D pad to work with rather than a controller. Yet, the game makes up for its losses with a fine-tuned, smaller version of the game all Resident Evil fans love. Also, having the map on the upper screen is effective and easy way to navigate rather than having to open your map every 10 seconds to figure out where to go next. Even though the version is scaled down, it is very much the same game, as well. The creators of the game did not sit down and try to remake the game, but to just put the original on to the DS. The only noticeable change is the characters in some of the games cutscenes are actual people recreating some of the events as a movie would show, not a game animation. For all fans of the survival horror genre, this game is a must to pick up for the DS. It has replay value, as well with mini games and added content to unlock such as different characters to play in the multiplayer function, and harder modes to unlock after beating it for the first time.
