Same clunky controls, poorly told story, and recycled plot elements make this no different from the past Resident Evils

User Rating: 4.5 | Resident Evil: Revelations PC
This game is honestly horrible. As in the review deck above, the plot is very poorly told with bad dialogue for this generation of games. The lips do not sync up to the words being spoken.

The whole premise of past resident evils regarding the T virus is not followed with this game. At best, it loosely ties the events between RE 4 and 5 but feels cheap each step of the way. The characters are recycled right down to their movements and sidekicks are boring and unbelievable in their dialogue and in their support (plus they can't die). The animations are so poor, it hurts. Jill still runs like she has a stick up her ass.

The gameplay is a step backwards from RE 4 with poor hit detection, annoyingly inaccurate active dodge elements, and non-fluid movements.
The gun upgrade implementation is standard with nothing to make it stand out.

Nothing is new about this game, and Capcom has proven yet again with their latest resident evil game that old dogs can't learn new tricks. Save yourself money and aggravation and do not play this game. The plot is not worth the playthrough. The jump between normal and infernal is ridiculous to the point of it being more advantageous to run by every enemy in the game than it is to try and tactically melee enemies like in past games.
