A call back to classical Resident Evil, it's about time!

User Rating: 8.5 | Resident Evil: Revelations PS3
Resident Evil Revelations was awesome, especially compared to Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, and Resident Evil 6. It is a call back to the way Resident Evil is supposed to be played. A logical easy to use and innovative inventory system that mixes open inventory with quick use items.

The graphics were impressive considering it was adopted from the Nintendo 3DS version. The guns were ok, not grand, but ok.

I would have liked to have had better puzzles and the ability to play story mode with a friend but again considering it is an adaption I will not be to harsh. I liked the cut scenes that showed what you had done in the last chapter, like watching a show on t.v., sometimes you don't finish a game right away and forget what you are doing so I found it refreshing.

Raid mode: Capcom had a little "catalog" loading boo boo recently but I will say they did fix it pretty quickly. Raid mode is where I took points off because even though I enjoy it, it takes way too many times of playing the same levels over and over again to level up and there are just way too many crummy guns. Shot guns were useless in Raid mode in my opinion. Even the mighty Hydra was no good. The riffles and magnums were king in RE Revelations.

All in all it was the direction i think Resident Evil needs to go with series.
