Another Resident Evil game but somethings aren't as good as they wear supposed to be.

Yes thats right I'm on the last game in the box and this time it's Resident Evil Outbreak I'm hear to share about. So sit back relax and enjoy this review.
NOTE: I still hate Capcom games but not their GAMES. Got it?

Plot: Well in Outbreak the game is sort of come and go but basically it is in the begining of what resident evil made. The T-Virus outbreak at J's Bar. Yes thats right. A few survivors wear at that bar. Some of which would die and later never be told about again. Others. Noted Heroes. The game is supposed to be around the main survivors of the T-Virus outbreak like Yoko, (keep wanting to say Brad but thats DR), Kevin, and many more. The events span from Resident Evils 1-3 apparently. So that means you get to fight some old school bosses and creatures.

Gameplay: A lot of the gameplay machanics have been altered since Code Veronica X. For starts you can get score points which you get for doing certain things in certain scenarios. There are only 5 scenarios but there are plenty and I mean plenty of unlockables to get along with multiple characters, outfits to choose from, and plus online play but I haven't used it since I don't have the merbober to hook it up to. So anyways. The real main things that Capcom wanted to improve in their scary (not to me) survival horror games was the control scheme. People thought it was stuiped how you had to move in the way that room was mapped. I thought it was fine when I played CVX. So instead they thought of putting in a classical normal game like controler of your character. You instead, have to walk in the direction you want to go. Say your going down a hallway. You have to push forward on the left stick to make it do that instead of the old classic moderate controls. The weapons and action keys are still the same this time around but this new movement system can lead to a lot of getting bitten by zombies and dying. Speaking of zombies antoher flaw in Outbreak is that killing zombies isn't exactly what it used to be. You can't blow their brains out with the shotgun anymore. As soon as you kill one zombie pretty soon another one comes in. I guese that Capcom made DR just to make the people who hated this game beat the doo out of zombies for 6 hours straight. lol. So another new thing that I wish they just would have left alone is the health system and the inventory. Now all of us know that resident evil is known for it's scare and hidden ammo boxes. Trust me though. This game does a pretty good job of hiding them and making them to scarce. Making the inventory system smaller was also not a good idea. They made it into only 4 blocks of inventory. Yeah. Boooooo. I know that I'm kinda dissing the game but it's good to get the bad out first. This also means though that you can only have a need of a key, weapon, ammo, or a herb. Which this time around also seems screwed up. Instead of just having the same old ,green, yellow, orange, red, dead system. They changed it to a virus gauge. This gauge fills up everytime you get bitten by a zombie and goes up slowly at a rate depending on how bad the bites. You can stop the virus growth by eating herbs and virus pills but this may seem like a quick way to get rid of inventory space and it sort of ignores the old health system and only leaving you with very little herbs for a boss fight or tough enemies. You also on the good side though have about 10 or some odd characters to choose from each with their own unuiqe storyline and stats like Yoko has a backpack which thank god holds 4 more items, and Kevin has a 45 with it's own ammo scattered around for him only. Yes each time you beat a scenario you are given your grade and your score to go buy outfits and such. You can also unlock the gmaes cool outfits by going through the levels and finding all the special items like shoes and stuff and then buying them in the store for a full outfit.

Graphics: Well for RECVX being very well put together in cut scenes and sorta good choppy in game Outbreak tends to look almost like the cut scenes making the game look somewhat realistic with beutifuly detailed places (wow I didn't know a guy like me would use that word lol.) like virus labs, buildings, rooms, each with their own items for you to get.

Sound: Well the sound has improved along with the good old style freaky walking sounds and turns out to be nothing there and you have to listen hard for that zombie or monster. The game still sounds pretty and real with all new revamped zombie groans! Wooooo! Zombie groans!

Music: Resident Evil has always had that dramatic heart touching, hair raising, perfect soundtrack that almost compares to the greatness of Halo's wonderful soundtrack. The music will still make you feel creeped with the sense of mood and danger and suspense. I like CVX's best though.

Conclusion: In my 4-5 hours playing into the game and on the second scenario, I think that Resident Evil Outbreak is a great gift for any Resident Evil fan or a person who justs likes a good dramatic story line with plenyty of action and zombies. Can't leave out zombies. So add this to your collection if you are a true Resident Evil Fan. Thks.
