An absurdly satisfying game

User Rating: 9.7 | BioHazard 4 GC
This is easily one of the greatest gaming experiences ever brought to life on the GC and really any gaming median, for that matter. Resident Evil 4 is truely outstanding, my words will easily sell this game short, so, do yourself a favor and pick up Res4 if you haven't already. The gameplay: very, very solid. The only problem I see with it, and also mentioned by numerous other reviews is the inventory. You can access it on the fly by the Y button, but this can become a hassle, because you'll be bringing your inventory up a lot, which can pull you away (slightly) from la fantastica action. A mapping ability of herbs, weapons, etc on the D-Pad would have been nice, but hell this is really just a small complaint in a game that shines so brightly it burns the soul with bliss. Graphics: DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!!! Just look at them, I still can't believe this game is running on GameCube hardware. What's even more impressive is the framerate, which stays very solid 99% of the time even when multiple enemies, fire, water, and particle effects are all flying around. An impressive sight to behold, here's hope that you have progressive scan. The sound is outstanding. Simply put, the best aural, and atmospheric sound ever put together in a video game. The voice acting is also superbly done and convincing. Two huge thumbs up to Capcom and their sound team. Value: exceptional. The campaign lasts a good 25 plus hours. What's even better is when you beat the game all sorts of extras and goodies are unlocked giving you much, much more playtime. You'll definitly have the incentive to play through this masterpiece more then once. Reviewers tilt...well, if you haven't already guessed how I feel about Res4 then,...err,...ah, JUST BUY THIS DAMN GAME!!! Macdaddy
