Back in 1996,Capcom decided to release one of the greatest Survival horror game of all time. It was called Resident Evil. It was certainly a game. It had game mechanic that you think would have made the game bad. The inventory screen was small, the controls were awkward, and the voice acting was just horrendous. However this added to the game charm. You had to watch what you take, where you go,and the voice acting was so awful,it was great! The game was a success and it was only a matter of time before a sequel came.

In 1998,Capcom released Resident Evil 2. It take place in Raccoon city instead of the mansion. You have two characters to pick from,Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Leon is a rookie cop for the Raccoon Police Department, It's his first day on the job when he drive to Raccoon City. Claire Redfield is the sister of Chris Redfield.

When you start the game you know something is up. Since the game take place in Raccoon city you will travel in different environments. You explore the area and try to figure out what just happen to Raccoon city.

The game got a very good story. It got plenty of twist that you will find out near the end of the game. Depending on who you play, you will meet different characters and have a different experience.

Leon and Claire got their own story and their games play differently. This add to the game length as when you finish one character game, you can play as the other character and see what that person went through.

The game got a creepy atmosphere and the monsters in the game make you watch your back. One of the newest enemy called the Licker is especially nasty.

The music add to the mood. It usually a creepy tone making you nervous. The gun effect sound all right and the voice acting haven't change. You will find yourself laughing at how terrible it is. Of course this does change the mood of the game to more of a humor tone.

The game looks pretty good. The character model got good details and the monster looks creepy. The zombie model is still limited but this is to be expected. The environment looks great too.

The game still follow the same control though with the dual-shock edition you can use the analog stick. However it still the same tank control you know. If you didn't like the controls in the first Resident Evil, this game won't change your mind. The inventory screen is also the same.

If you never played a Resident Evil game and want to know how it plays,it's quite simple. It's a survival game so you may find yourself running out of ammo. To shoot you simply press the R1 button to aim. You can't move while doing this so be careful. You fire by pressing X.

When you complete the game you can unlock quite a few stuff. There's a battle extreme mode, and two mini game involving an Umbrella solider and a piece of Tofu.
