Resident Evil 0 is a good prequel that gives some additional depth to the Raccoon City incident.
In this prequel, you take control of STARS Bravo team member Rebecca Chambers, who makes an appearance in the original game. After the team's helicopter crashes in the Arklay Mountains, they soon find a crashed truck with two dead soldiers still inside. Wtih some further exploration, Rebecca meets up with BIlly Coen, a prisoner who escaped the crashed truck. They soon find themselves trying to survive on a train, in a laboratory, and a factory.
This game is a bit different from other Resident Evil games. You control Rebecca and Billy at the same time, with the ability to switch between the two and separate to explore different areas at once. Also, they can drop items on the ground and pick them up later. Another drastic change from the other Resident Evil games is that only Rebecca can mix herbs.
The game features the traditional control scheme of Resident Evil games. Pushing up on the control stick will move your character in the direction he or she is facing, while the left and right directions will turn your character.
This is a great game and an awesome addition to the Resident Evil series. It gives a bit more of the back story to the original game and makes Rebecca a more interesting character. Resident Evil 0 is a must play for Resident Evil fans and Gamecube owners alike.
