amazing fun, but short

User Rating: 8 | Red Steel 2 WII
red steel 2 is a swirling smörgåsbord of blades, guns, and finishing moves. There are few other games where i could go through a skirmish, and come out with my palms sweaty from the amazingly fluid combat that allowed me to kill over 20 men in under five seconds. It's incredibly fun to shoot a charging enemy out of the air with a shotgun, or to slow-mo kill an enemy by jumping backwards, throwing your sword, and watch it spiral into his chest. 1:1 control is an almost accurate statement, but you will hardly use one you have stacked up your arsenal of hidden strikes and kusigari powers. I could type for another hour discriminating the amazing moves and finishers you can pull off, however, i could probably type the story in two sentences. the story is disappointingly short, only last around 8 hours if you ignore the side quests, maybe 10-12 if you do everything. If i could request two things for this title, i would ask for a longer, clearer story, and the addition of new game plus. if you're looking for stylish, fluid action, you will find it here, but expect weeks of play from this samurai.
