Poor execution overshadows great gameplay concepts.

TL;DR - The game's shortcomings outweigh it's great gun battling.

Good:
-Amazing maps.
-Satisfying exchanges of fire require patients and skill.
-Guns feel right.
-Great ability to position yourself with leans, diving prones, crouched running, and the cover system.
-Suppression system

Bad:
-Games rarely feel triumphant. Instead, they just sort of end. There is hardly ever tension felt because of this, and playing is not wholly satisfying.
-Graphics.
-Character models.
-Smoke clips through walls.
-Two of the modes are never played anymore.
-Suppression is unpolished and can last forever sometimes.
-Tons of minor things...
>nades have trouble bouncing through crevices, hit invisible walls instead.
>changing class mid game makes you suicide, costs points and kills
>not many maps
>not many modes
