This is definitly one game that shouldn't be missed.

You are a miner named Parker. You have come to Mars to get away from the troubles of Earth. Living Conditions are horrible here on Mars. The Guards are brutal, the food sucks, you share a room with 8 other people, there's a disease going around and miners are dropping where the stand, and you work 10 hours a day. (and you say your job sucks) The guards are looking for a person named EOS. The a supposed Revolution coming, the Red Faction is getting bigger, and things just keep getting worse and worse. It's been a long day your work shift is finally over and just as your heading back to your quarters, your buddy gets into a scurry with a guard, and before you know it all your miner buddies are being killed. You pick up a dead guard's poker thing and charge at the man that killed your buddy.
Red Faction is about 5 years old and never really got the attention of many first person shooters out there. But listen to me now, this game should not be missed. All this is is clasic fun that almost everyone can enjoy. The graphics in Red Faction are really not that good, especially in 2006. Remember, the N64 and Dreamcast were almost done but not quite and this game had pretty good graphics. Don't worry though they aren't horrid, in fact they do just fine. This game really only has classic gameplay. Just point and shoot, it will get a little tiresome after a while, but not until towards the end. Where this game shines though is it's Geo-Mod technology. It is just a blast to take out walls and stuff and actually make yourself cover or even alternate paths. It is unbelievable other companies haven't picked this concept up. The Geo-Mod technology really made this game what it is. The sound in Red Faction is pretty good. The explosions and gun shots all sound great and fresh. The voice acting is pretty decent but not great. (EOS's voice sucks.) The story is good and has plenty of twists and turns to keep you busy and anxious, but listen people this is no Metal Gear Solid calibur story but like I said before it's just good enough.
Overall Red Faction is a great game that nobody that enjoys FPS should miss. Trust this game is just as good as Halo or any other game out there.
