once a great series. the change of game play was a disappointment for me

red faction guerrilla was fun, but it didn't at all satisfy me. this game feels like a futuristic Saints Row where you have side quests and main quests and then have to run back and defend a territory from being captured. too much stop wait a long time and go action. Roaming the map gets a bit old. i love the red faction games, but if i knew the game play was like this i would have taken a pass. what i'm saying is don't fix something that isn't broken. it was nice to see small reminders of the previous games such as names and locations of old ruins. the destruction is even more fantastic than before, all buildings can get torn down, APC and other cars/trucks can go flying across the map, and new interesting weapons and all the old classic ones.
over all it is a fun game, but if you are a die hard fan of the first two you might be dissappointed by this one. its a great rent-a-game.
