Something epic... this game is so good wanting more made me give it an 8.5.

At first glance (for me personally) I was not thrilled about the idea of a GTA western game. Got it for someone else as a gift and when I saw it being played i regretted being so nice. This game just demands ur attention and respect to every single detail of the landscape and the characters. Facial expressions evoke not only a personal interest in the main character ' John Marston' but the others as well.

He is well mannered and polite yet cunning and skillful with not only a pistol but with his charisma as well. This game is unlike any of its Rock-star predecessors. The engine is so highly detailed and the environments have you feeling like your actually there. The music also adds to the ambience and adds to the authenticity.

The randomness of events are also a plus and add to the excitement. In a few cases I got the feeling that the map was not saturated with character triggered missions considering the size. In one area there's the horse capture mission, then about 4 miles away a midnight job... then across the river there are 2 more missions within about 40 sq. miles of landscape. So much more should be happening for a world that size.

A very good start for the franchise; This game is loaded with online content and side missions. Not to mention the story protagonist is worthy of an Emmy award. This game ROCKS Rockstar!!!
