It's been ported for the umpteenth time, but this great plat-former is still solid, and great fun.

User Rating: 7 | Rayman 3D 3DS
Rayman 2 or Rayman 3D as it is known here on the 3DS, has been ported god knows how many times, but all for a good reason, its a great game. yet it is showing it's age as a 11 year old game ( or 12 year old I'm not quite sure ).

Graphically Rayman holds up quit well, it has a very distinctive art style and generally looks good overall, with vivid colours and outlandish character designs. Core gameplay is as tight as it was on the Dreamcast, which is a major point, after the abomination of the port to the NDS. The 3D visual effect is nice during gameplay sections, oddly enough, it has a ghosting effect that screws with your eyes during the cutscenes, which somewhat take you out of the atmosphere.

On the bad side. It's still the same port as always just with the 3D effect added in, the touch screen is rendered useless, due to nothing being done with it. There si also no new content been added whatsoever, and the camera is still iffy as it was 11 years ago.

Whilst it is one of the better ports of Rayman, if you have played it before, there is nothing new for you here. But if you haven't played it before, I strongly recommend you play it on the 3DS.
