Lots of broken features and a mixture of below average elements leads the game to the bargain bin.

User Rating: 4.5 | Raven Squad: Hidden Dagger PC
Raven Squad's main attraction to me was the whole FPS mix with over the top RTS gameplay. It is very similar to Brother In Arm except in this game you have to use the RTS element to beat a mission.

The first thing that bugs me is the voice acting, nothing worst them jumping into the first part of the game greeted by your so called intelligent guy, who will tell you info for the rest of the game with a weird accent and a unprofessional voice. Overall the voice acting in the game for everyone is average and below. There is also little to no battle music that brings you into the mood for a intense firefight.

The character system was design much like a class based system similar to the commando series game. For example, the assault squad consists of a dude with an AK and a M60, another with a shotgun and a RPG, and last with a SMG with frags. They all have their purpose and role so when there are lot of enemies you use frags, when there are an obstacle you use the RPG, etc. The characters have 2 weapons, the primary which don't seems to run of ammo, and their secondary which runs off ammo which can be pick up. Most of the time the secondary is more powerful.

The game itself is very easy. When your character gets downed you can heal him and he will be ready to go. Also it is much faster and easier to play the mission from the RTS view because you can control multiply squads into a gunfight, you can see the enemy, ammo and health location easily. And the AI shoots for you. I rarely play in FPS view unless I am bored or I am force to.

The AI are simplistic, objects which resemble covers will generally have a few of them behind them. The AI have good accuracy so you will get hit a lot. The best thing is to go into RTS view and let the AI shoot for you. The only different is the enemies gets kill in 1~2 hits and you got a lot more healths. Not the mention the overpower shotgun for far range.

The graphics is decent but the lighting, especially for the sun is lacking. The story is not really the focus and overall the game got more cons then pros. I haven't check the multiplayer yet but I wouldn't put too much hope in it either.
