Different from the series? Yes. An okay game? YES.

Although this game doesn't follow the usual R&C games, it is still a very excellent game. Ratchet, Clank, and Al are captured and Ratchet is forced to compete in a game show called DreadZone, where contestants are put up for their lives. Luckilly, you get two bots, Merc and Green, who can help you out. This aspect makes the game very fun. There is tons of humor in this game. The show's hosts always put down Ratchet, and the humor in the cutscenes is hilarious. You can upgrade your weapons with mods, like an acid mod or morph mod, and lots more. There are lots of different planets to visit, and the scenery and graphics are amazing. There are also several tournaments, in which you compete against a group of fighters called the Exterminators. You can also get skins when you get a certain number of points. A difference in this game is that you can use the R1 button to fire instead of the O button (but you can still use the O button). This game is a must have for any Ratchet and Clank fans.
