Another great chapter in the awesome Ratchet and Clank series...

After watching Secret Agent Clank both Ratchet and Clank stumble upon Veldin being attacked by an alien race known as the Tyrannoids. Ratchet and Clank stop this but to defeat their most feared enemy they have face yet Dr Nefarious they need Captain Qwarks help but when they find all is not as it seems. Halfway through the game you realise what Nefarious major goal is and that it is much bigger than what Ratchet and Clank have faced in the past.

Gameplay

Well its your typical Ratchet and Clank game but with more shooting and blowing up bad guys. The story moves at a very good pace. As ever to combat the forces of evil Ratchet and Clank are gonna need some massive firepower and boy does it arrive with weapons like the Plasma Whip,Agents of Doom and many more as well as some old favourites returning. This time they have to upgraded to V5 to get the true power of each gun.

As well as Ratchet and Clank you play as Captain Qwark in vid comics to try and learn more about the past history between the 2 of them. Also you can play online with this game and it seems rather good like Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. I am just a bit dissapointed they haven't had multiplayer in the follow ups because that would have been cool.

What I didn't like about number 2 was the Space Combat and that is gone in this game instead you help Galatic Troopers recover areas a few times. The bosses are also some of the best in the series as well espically the later ones against a Giant Clank Robot. Overall it is your usual Ratchet and Clank guns,gadgets and action.

Presentation

I have to say the characters are very good in terms of acting and do a good job. Dr Nefarious while being a mad supervillain is one of the best characters in the series with his head getting stuck all the time of a certain soap opera and his assistant Lawerance having to smack it. The graphics look very good and seeing enemies explode is always amazing.

Lastability

About 10 to 12 hours but there's also challenge mode and you might want to give multiplayer a look.

Overall Opinion

Without doubt the pinnacle of the Ratchet and Clank series. It is incredible to play. The weapons are amazing, the areas are massive and also it is just fun to blow things up. An incredible story with some great moments that will make you laugh. If you have only played the PS3 games and think they were good then try this game out its the best game in the series in my opinion. You will love it.
