Stinks like an old boot.... and sinks!

I've been anticipating this game for a while now, after checking out some preview pictures I thought this might be a fun "fishing sim" this could not have been further from the truth.
First off the graphics are nice and not too shabby, I reckon this is why I spent my hard eared money on this title.
I'll start by walking through the game as I play it.. I insert the disc in and away we go, after a little loading I hit start and I've to choose my player, male or female... the female looks more of the fishing type while the male is some dude in Bermuda shorts ( i only wish i could change this ).. who fishes in Bermuda shorts?... anyway then I pick one of the three options from the menu and we're off fishing from out boat (maybe I can fish from the lake side.. but I seem to be stuck in the boat) fishing is so easy.. I just cast my line.. with some stupid manoeuvre of the controller (that I cannot configure) and then my lure is in the water...at this point I'd like to mention that it doesn't seem to matter what lure you use, as the fish aren't too fussy about what I have on my line... maybe an old boot would even catch something... or maybe I'm just so cool in my bermuda shorts that I'm an expert fisherman  ....now with my lure in the water I can choose to just leave it there or reel it in.. Again this doesn't matter either, but now I watch for the on-screen prompt to rotate my right thumb-stick.. This attracts the fish believe it or not and wait for it... you get extra points too!! Wow! .... but it's not over yet, once you've successfully rotated the stick you then need to shake your controller from either side to side or back and forth...(did I mention you get more points for this too!) ok then even if you haven't done any of that.. a fish comes along and bits the line and you need to tilt the controller back to hook the fish... don't worry if you miss, another one will be right along so that you can try him... but seeing as you could probably drop the controller on the floor and still hook the fish.. Rest assured that even your 4 month old baby sister could "hook that fish!"
Reeling in the fish isn't much harder either with you reeling in or reeling out so that the fish doesn't break the line, but some fish as it seems are so strong that they can break the line at random anytime... but don't be disheartened at this point as it's not that hard especially with the bonus points and what not to be had when reeling in... It's so boring from this point and OMG! I hate six-axis so much now it hurts my hands with all the back forth, left right rubbish oh and did I mention you have 15 minutes to fish before the round ends.
Other parts to the game include unlocking lakes and new lures which seem unless as all I need is my old boot, one last thing.. If you find you're totally bored you can joyride the speedboat.
All in all this is not a fishing SIM at all and this game should be left on the shelf even if they are giving it away for nothing.
