Graphically this is a beautiful game!. Even if, like myself you only have a passing interest in trains, you'll be hooked

A lovely game, with huge potential, but lacks the polish of a modern game.
There are a few missions to choose from, on 5 locations - oddly no north American route, although they do exist for the NA version.

The rolling-stock is nicely modelled, as is the scenery. With some nice physics and a full editor, this title is fun to look at, tamper with, and use.

The edtor although powerful, suffers from some seriously bad design oversights, and a lack of clear explaination. A title like this demads a degree of accuracy that snapping to a grid, and real-time X Y Z displays demand. sadly both, and many more things like this are missing. For example, the inability to map keys to controls and some bizarre control incontantuity (like zooming with the mousewheel works in the 2D map, but nowhere else,) means the editor is hard work to pick up, but once you get your head round it, you can make some reasonable looking scenery in a few hours.

Comparasons have to be made to it's peers, such as Trainz 2006 and this is by far the better looking sim.

If you want something to make that trainset (you never had space or time to make!) This will - one day - be just the thing!

Community support is stubling about due to the lack of direction with the editor, but I can see it being as well supported as MS Train Sim (MSTS) before long

Wait for a few more patches and this will be the (and I think quite litrally IS) the next MSTS.
