This is nothing to get excited about.
Frankly I ran across this game by pure chance since I'm waiting for Skyrim and was just looking around to find something to pass the time... I honestly thought Rage would hold me off at least until the end of the month... Brother was i disappointed!
Everything seems cramped and rushed. Sure the game has some very nice graphics in places and would have been great had the territory been larger with more missions... But sadly it falls short.
True as it may be that the post apocalyptic genre has been done from so many angles that it would be hard to find something original, with regards to the story, the game starts off OK... and promising... but it slowly winds down as you play mission after mission... until finally reaching a frankly totally anticlimactic ending... not even a good cut scene video... not even that...
Although the driving was fun, the available race types were limited. And repetitive... and honestly, very easy to win.
The shooting is OK, although limited in weapon types... but I'll tell you one little spoiler... Once you get the revolver, and the recipe for "FAT MOMMA" ammo... that's ALL you'll need during 99% of the game. With this nifty ammo you can kill ANYTHING in at most 3 shots or one well placed headshot. combine it with the hand held scope and voila... throw away the sniper rifle, it's comparatively underpowered, slower and cumbersome.
I give this game a low rating due to lack of content, overall it was fun, just very short, easy and predictable.
