Wow, a great platformer that isn't Mario or Ratchet & Clank.

User Rating: 8 | Rabbids Go Home WII
Rabbids go home is something that nobody thought was possible. A great platformer that isn't Mario or Ratchet & Clank. This game is just plain weird straight from the get-go, you play as two mentally insane rabbits running around a city with a shopping cart picking up as much crap as you can possibly find so you can put it all in a pile and get to the moon. Its a weird story, but at the same time amusing.
Unfortunately, this game comes with a few flaws that aren't really dealbreakers, but things that you should defiantly be aware of before you buy it. The first thing is that the game gets off to a really crappy start. 1/2 hour into it and you'll be wondering why you got the game. But after that 1/2 hour, you will be glad that you got through it. The game starts to gain variety and starts to become addictive fast, but this is where the next two problems check in. First of those two is that the game is insanely easy, when I was on world 5/6 I could have beaten the game, and that was less than half way through that world. Next, the game is very short, it takes a mere 6 hours to get through the main story-line. This is made up by an ending challenge mode that you can chose to do that will have you get to 37,000 feet, instead of the original 23,000 feet. That makes up for both of those problems being very challenging and it will take you another 5-6 hours depending on how fast you're trying to get through.

Story: 7/10
The rabbids see the moon one night and decide they need to go there, they can't reach it so they pile some crap up but they need much more. It sounds lame, and it kind of is, but to an extent it is amusing and will leave you somewhat satisfied in the end.

Sound: 8/10
Wow, that;s all I can say. These rabbids have some serious issues. The sound is amusing and is funny at first, but the rabbids do get annoying after a while. I was impressed at the little voice work that was done though.

Graphics: 7/10
The graphics are great, but you have to realize, its a wii game. They aren't going to be stunning. Human character models are kind of ugly, I liked the general idea, but they just could have done a better job with it.

Presentation: 9/10
The menus are nice. The wii-remote rabbid was a clever idea. What else can I say, everything was executed nicely and surpassed my expectations.

Difficulty: 6/10
Its too easy. This will challenge your 7 or 8 year old brother, but the only challenge coming out of this one is some of the very last levels, and getting to the 37,000 feet. But still that is fairly easy to get through.

Controls: 9/10
Thank you Ubisoft for using minimal motion control. The only motion control used does make sense and doesn't present any problems. Everything else uses just the right amount of precision needed to complete every level without too much frustration. There are a few exceptions, but its easy to forget those.

Gameplay: 8/10
Its fun, funny, and something you want to see a sequel to. This is a game that would be very easy to make incredibly repetitive, and there are some levels that seem to repeat themselves, but they always add new challenges to switch things up a bit.

"Fun" Factor: 9/10
This game is very fun. The beginning is slow and bland, but after that you won't regret putting the time into it, its an incredibly fun game no matter how easy it is, and they throw just enough variety for it not to seem repetitive, but keep things close enough that it still seems like you aren't going too out of the way.

Should I get it?
Yes. Like I have warned you, the game has its flaws. But without a doubt this is the best Rabbids game out, and I really hope they make a sequel to it. It isn't a party game, but I like it better for not being that. For only $20 this game is a steal.
