A good James Bond game, but not the best standalone first person shooter.

Quantum of solace is a hard game to review because the fact that its so short detracts from the other fact that the action and online multiplayer is pretty darn good. the campaign is about 6 hours (shorter if on the lower difficulties) and follows the story of both quantum of solace and casino royale (shown in flashback). it's a bit of a weird decision but casino royale is still awesome. the gameplay is a mix between first person shooting and stop and pop third person mechanics, with optional stealth gameplay mixed in for good measure. the stealth isn't the best but there's really nothing to complain about. the online multiplayer is really really fun, and since it's built on the call of duty 4 engine, it's very similar. not that that's a bad thing. the multiplayer has a credits system that you can use to by guns, pistols, accessories and gadgets, which are basically perks (they do things like give you extra health, give you more ammunition for your gun and allow you to carry to main weapons). there's no levelling which makes it feel like your there for the fun, but in the end, thats really what your doing. quantum of solace isn't a bad game, it's a very fun one. the campaign is extremely fun despite it being very short and the multiplayer is very, very awesome. i bought this game for $10 and really, that's a pretty good price. I reckon i would pay around $20 to $30 for this game.
