Interesting followup to Dungeon Quest which enhances the graphics and changes the system.

Most of what you liked in Puzzle Quest has been repeated in PQ2. The Bejeweled like Fight mini-game is still there but the graphics have been greatly enhanced to support better resolutions especially on wide screen displays.

There is more of an RPG like feel to the game with Dungeon exploring being a major part of the game instead of the overground Warlords like simulation. The one thing that was removed was the Home Castle Customization, so it no longer feels like Warlords but more like Diablo.

It's an acceptable followup to the first game but not necessarily an improvement, although it's still a lot of fun.

I do prefer the graphics style in PQ2 it's more Classic Fantasy style and less JRPG Anime like.

In conclusion if you loved PQ1 but wanted better graphics and like a good Dungeon romp then you'll enjoy playing PQ2.
