Punch Out has all the right formula to KO anyhting that stands in it's way!

Punch Out is likely another gold reason to "go Nintendo" in the console wars. It's addictive, fun, and most importantly a return to the series roots even after 15 years. It's hard not to play Punch Out and not crack a smile.

STORY: No Story:

GAMEPLAY: 8.5: Punch Out is not a fighting game. It's actioally numurous genre's in one, with the ability of yes; kicking the crap out of King Hippo, but some twists by dodging and ducking. As you progress (actually right off the gate) the opponents will let of a signal, and you'll have to react. As you go the signal gets smaller, the attacks get quicker, and you'll have to read what's going on every inch faster. It's a great formula after all these years; but online play is what would make this game an A+ and not just an A-.

PRESENTATION: 10: Why Punch Out could be any more detailed? Okay, it can't. It's is very detailed honestly, and the slightest sounds are great. It's smooth, and fast pased, despite being as fun as anything I've ever played. Punch Out also does go crazy on objects too. Our only complaint, no online play, and why is there 14 charcters (1 I won't spoil). However still Punch Out is great.

THE BOTTOM LINE: 9.5: Buy Punch Out! You won't regret it. Here's hoping Little Mac's return comes before todays' toddlers become gratuates!
