There's really nothing for me to explain here. This game is punch-out, for better or worse. I loved the old NES version, so I decided to try this one. I must say, I am both satisfied and disappointed. If you're looking for a punch-out experience, you'll find it right here. The meat of the game doesn't really kick in until Title Defense mode and it definitely lives up to the punch-out name. As I write this review, I'm still hopelessly trapped on my conquest of the ring. Almost there, but it feels so far. That's because the timing has become so precise that you have to really memorize it or you'll get punished badly by the opponent. Anyway, this game can be great if all your looking for is Punch-out! But for me...something just feels like it's missing a point.
So what do I recommend? I'd say rent this first. It does what it's supposed to, but whether or not that still satisfies will depend on the player.
