Prototype is not a game about any other generic viral/zombie outbreak in which everyone gets cured with a magical antidote in the end. It is a game about self discovery and unravelling the true limits of oneself. After waking up and slowly see New York slowly die in front of himself, Alex Mercer decides to take the matter into his own hands and vows to make the people behind the virus outbreak pay. After bonding with the virus as a result of an experiment gone wrong Alex goes about the city in search of Blackwatch strongholds. Blackwatch is the main culprit behind the leak of the virus as the organisation was experimenting with it to create powerful biological weaponry and to create superhumans. The game contains a lot of of interesting array of powers to chose ranging from claws to a full fledged blade in your arm. The powers are unlocked as you progress through the game along with an interesting array of passive, defensive and offensive abilities to give you an edge in battle or sneak through ranks of army officers unnoticed. The game is open world with an expansive map with a lot of side missions which provide you with bonus xp to help you level up faster. With graphics quite advanced for its age and interesting gamelay mechanics, the game is an absolute feast to play along with the awesome set of soundtracks that come with it. The game is a must have on the list of games that every game enthusiast wants to play.
