Initially gave it a 3, I Got VR to Work and now an 8

User Rating: 8 | Project Wingman: Frontline 59 PS5

Initial Review—————————

I must be doing something wrong because the game is not even in Virtual Reality for me—you just play on a gigantic forward looking screen. Ace Combat 7, if I remember it correctly, was actual look around you VR.

The sound is nice, and the explosions are barely tolerable although they get old quick. Your targets are small and confusing. Overall, just a terrible game.

If you do not believe me have fun with your buyer’s remorse because that is what I have. Save your money.

——————————————Update

I bought the Anniversary edition, what they had in the PS Store, and I was not aware that there were 3 or maybe 2 different campaigns available. To get VR working you need to play the Frontline 59 campaign. I assume this could be a common mistake as the game’s menus can be a little confusing. On the positive side, seeing your jet in the hanger is awesome and so is looking around at the ground once in flight.

Nowhere near a sim but the vistas are beautiful and at a low price of $39.99 the game is worth owning. I give Project Wingman Frontline 59 an 8/10 once I got the VR to work.
