The game indicates on the back a two-player local multiplayer option, which is what I was looking for when I bought this game. Player created levels didn't have functional multiplayer (one of which, the only one where both players actually could do anything at the same time, had us both controlling one character at the same time, meaning we got absolutely nowhere), and the champion's quest, which did have functional multiplayer, was generally disappointing. Perhaps the champion's quest would be playable, but my friend was extremely disappointed by the message saying that the character she chose to play as (of the four available) needed to be unlocked to actually play as.
We are both extremely disappointed and extremely underwhelmed. Not a good game if you're looking for something to enjoy in a local multiplayer.
