Project: Snowblind at first glance looks like another bland, repetitive FPS if you look at it closely. But in fact, it's a suprisingly good shooter in it's campaign, but unfortunately, it's disappointing in it's multiplayer mode. The gameplay plays a little like Goldeneye: Rouge Agent, only that Snowblind is a hell of alot better, has great responsive controls, and smart AI. Over the course of the game, you'll gain these special cyber abilities such as being able to see through walls, slowing down time, using a ballistic shield and alot more. Fortunately, they all work very well in combat and are also easy to access as well. All-in-all, it's all just well thought out, and it'll probably keep you hooked for some time. The graphics are okay, certainly not being the best looking of all FPS's, but in many parts of the game, it's very well polished, such as the character and evironmental designs, and the cutscenes as well. The sound is great. The sound of gunfire, your allies calling for help, and the explosions all sound excellent. The only downside is that you'll have to turn up the volume if you want to hear them very clearly for some strange reason. The voice acting is actually pretty good, even though it can get a little bit over-the-top sometimes. Overall, if your looking for a great shooter with responsive controls, then Project: Snowblind will probably keep you occupied for awhile. If you want some online play, then you'd probably be better off renting it first.
