Came back to this game after a few years... tried multi player co-op by buying a second copy cheap on Amazon & hooking up Win7 laptop & XP desktop via internet.... installed patch, followed instructions in manual on disc and got it working !

( Had to press 'windows' button on keyboard to come out of game & switch off security message that popped up in order to allow PC's to 'talk' to each other).

Being able to play & solve puzzles cooperatively really speeded up game play and was much more enjoyable!

VERY WELL THOUGHT OUT LEVEL DESIGNS:

Puzzles far more logical than pure adventure games like Myst... in Myst you don't know WHO you are or WHY you are doing the puzzles... in Project Eden you know that for example you need to get a door open by repairing a panel & controlling a mechanism in order to free one of your characters that is trapped.

Some occasional bugs with multi player co-op splitting into 'alternate universes' with the same character behaving differently on each PC...but usually resolved by saving & reloading.

Shooter element and enemy intelligence quite basic but equally not frustrating... so my girlfriend and I could enjoy it... interesting to use the different weapons in combination...eg: time delay & energy drain. The enemies get more monstrous as the game develops.

The 'Carter' character needed better special skills and a bit more to do...maybe speaking in dialects / patois or translating for non player characters would have been good.

Would have been nice to have a bit more RPG style character development. Some hidden bonus items / weapons would have been good too as a reward for exploring. Two or three ways to solve puzzles ( like in Deus Ex ) would have been excellent but probably virtually impossible to design!

Overall a very enjoyable and well thought out game.

Would love to see a sequel with the same characters!
