Why wouldn't you have character unlockables??? Thats soo lame, that means I have no reason to play and try to unlock anything if its already given to me at the start! Jesus, didnt you guys learn anything from any game out there? Unlocking is why we play games to begin with! And that means we're not going to be surprised with any new characters at all! OMFG....well you guys better have some good DLC characters coming out otherwise, this game will be a disaster...
@Raziel_0 Exactly what I'm wondering. They keep saying "Snake is back" but honestly it looks like Big Boss because of his eyepatch, not the solid eye, and then the technology seemed a little too old for a new MGS. Also, I think that maybe that boy in the cage is the actual Solid Snake and Big Boss goes to save him, just my theory. :)
MGS1 is classic and beautiful and then MGS3 is also amazing. but nothing beats MGS4. It some amazing boss fights, like REX and the final boss fight with liquid, just legendary. Long live Solid Snake and Hideo Kojima
It really is a shame that so many gamers don't appreciate games for what they fully are, and only go for FPS for power trips. It's actually really scary to see that so many people don't understand how hard it is to make decisions and that each decision has a consequence to it. It's something that needs to be implemented, and David Cage is doing good by not following into the same cycle of stupid mindless FPS power trip mayhem. Developers need to break this cycle and it needs to be encouraged. Players nowadays just want the next COD and parents are allowing their 7 year old kids to play these games. What a disastrous future for our children. It's obvious these types of games are meant for adults that can HANDLE tough situations, I mean look at how realistic these games are getting now.
I agree with this article. The violence has gotten out of hand in games and now they're just pushing violence so far that it's getting ridiculous as well. Take a look at God of War with it's insane gruesome takedowns, do we really need that? I think that it is in fact being fetishized and completely desensitizing teenagers into thinking that violence is normal. I do appreciate that there are companies and games out there like Nintendo that still keep a leash on their violence in games. Sony is doing that as well with their eye pet, wonder book and so on, and microsoft with kinect. Just cuz a game is violent doesn't mean it's a triple-A game.
