The original Final Fantasy 7 was very linear too, until you unlocked the Tiny Bronco, the Airship and the submarine.

As a die hard fan of the original 23 years ago I think this remake is brilliant! It is exactly what I hoped it to be. The scope is so much bigger than the original, while maintaining that final fantasy 7 feeling. The music, the graphics, the battle system, I just love it. I don’t care that this game comes in episodes. Game of Thrones came in episodes? Star Wars came in episodes? Why not Final Fantasy 7? This one episode has more content than the last 10 Call of Duty campaigns combined !!

That'll be the first city builder since SimCity4 for me, and since my pc has collected dust, I'll wait and see how it performs on console...
