Besides the terrestrial planets they should look barren that is what most planets look like if the solar system is any indication and might be only a few things on them but there are many so kind of a trade off. Sounds to me like your expectations are unreasonable.

There was like 40 or so planets to explore in ME1 and most had their own unique scenery and stuff to explore and you could explore them in whatever order you wanted. You sure you actually played through the game?

Gears of War was a 360 game so not a lie you just chose to intentionally misinterpret the post. And the best remaster says little, I have seen free mods that offer more content than these "remasters" yes is is basically just a new paint job.
