Most people are just complaining about the lack of a Big exclusive this Holiday season, but from a business standpoint you don't want to release one now. There's a TON of games coming out this fall and think about the games this year that have already been released.

Fallout 4,Battlefront, Bloodborne, Uncharted Collection, Until Dawn, and Witcher 3 and there's way more.

No. You actually do want to release big games now, regardless of the competition. Logic would state not to launch a shooter when COD BO3 drops, however, all of the major publishers have studied the results and sales are STILL BETTER just due to the large volume of sales during the holiday season. I forget the exact percentage, but it's close to 90% of total game sales are within two months of Christmas.

I hate to engage in list wars, but this entire bullshit about how Sony is not investing in first party titles for the PS4... can we stop with it, now? If it was not clear already, the plethora of recent first party exclusive game announcements should drum the point home.

Seriously, here is a list of first party games announced for the PS4- just the notable ones, I'm not listing stuff like Rigs here.

  • Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
  • Horizon: Zero Dawn
  • Ratchet and Clank
  • Dreams
  • Gravity Rush 2
  • The Last Guardian
  • Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
  • Gran Turismo Sport
  • DriveClub Bikes
  • Detroit
  • WiLD
  • Robinson: The Journey

That's twelve excellent first party games coming to the PS4, all of them in 2016, by the way- games from older, established franchises, new IPs, Japanese games, western games, horror games, adventure games, shooters, platformers, action adventure games, racing games, RPGs, you name it, Sony has you covered. This is their first party lineup- just for 2016.

So the bullshit narrative that Sony isn't trying with their first party- can it end now?

It's not a lack of trying, but a lack of succeeding. At this point, Microsoft is curb-stomping Sony and Nintendo with its exclusives. [Note: By exclusive, I mean console exclusive. I'm GLAD they support PC gaming by allowing/publishing Xbox console "exclusives" to Windows.]

The one advantage that Sony has it that its exclusives do a better job of rounding out the genres when added to the third party lineup. In contrast, Xbox's exclusives are mostly more of the favorite genres being played today, but they are far better than Sony's stuff. On a side note, Nintendo is just "LOL." Their lack of diversity is expected, but disappointing nonetheless.

Then cue a slew of extra updates to cure the bugs. Just so the dashboard can look like W10. Yeah wow, absolutlely ground breaking stuff from MS.

Not groundbreaking, but not needing to open an app for simple stuff will be much appreciated.

@mesomorphin:
My only thought is that I'm surprised that anyone saw the trailers and thought they were telling the story of Chief being a traitor. To me, they were telling the story of a military cover-up of some kind. I'm from the U.S., so that may color my interpretation, but that's what I saw.

I haven't played the game yet, so heck, I could be way off too. :D

Can anyone tell me how is The Walking Dead on Xbox One??Is it a good/bad game?? Thank Your for your replies/opinions. :)

Assuming it's the same as the X360 version, it's good. The story is disappointing/slow from time to time, but it's worth playing.

You should add your info and tag to the Gamertag sticky thread. It'll get far more views there. :)

@xisiuizado: Yes there is and they did. MS LOST MONEY! Thanks to its mobile division they reported a loss Sony as a company posted a profit mostly off gaming and image sensors.

Um, no. No they didn't. In fact, their net income for this past quarter is $4.6 billion.
