Sounds good but if nobody makes a logical input device to control games with its about as useful as a turd in a punch bowl.Additionally it would also take companies with the resources and drive to invest in making good mobile games that are on par with console gaming which equates to alot of risk as only cheap $1 or free to play scam games find success on mobile. There is an impossible mindset to break down and rebuild surrounding mobile gaming versus handheld gaming.. two differant audiences, two very diffferant mindsets. Unless of course you jest, in which case ignore my reply in its entirety.

@limelight022: There is more than that, some stores get smaller allocations cause they dont move as much product as other stores, I have a gamestop that gets way more everything than one on the other side of town. Things sell out cause people are scalping and those whom are not scalping are on the hunt for them, calling every store in town daily and racing to a store when they find one cause nobody will hold these for anyone for any amount of time anywhere, its sad really. I saw a dude get excited at walmart but didnt have cash but wanted to buy one, he started a credit card application and they wouldn't hold one for him, It sold before he finished a short application. He was pissed.

@grimakis: Hell I owned a Wii U with 16 great games but once I saw it lose steam to 3DS time and time again followed by legit patents I saw the writing on the wall, sold my Wii U and all its games over a year before switch was even announced officially and when it turned out to be a hybrid as many believed it would be I couldnt be happier.

I currently own Zelda, Mario kart, Bomber man, METAL SLUG 1, METAL SLUG 3, PU-YO VS TETRIS.. Now even playing games I have played and owned before along with Zelda being the dfiinitive version I can say that the games and system themselves perform admirably, You have to own one and experience to fully understand the positives.

I have always hated handheld gaming due to sacrifices being too great and budgets for games being kinda crap on handheld compared to home consoles but the Switch is amazing, being able to go anywhere with said games is a treat when you find yourself with little time off to relax or a sudden change of plans finds you going to the ER, taking kids to the doctors office, the weather turns shit on a camping trip...yada yada yada.. Never bored...Never. Another cool thing is my kid and me both have our own systems, He ask for help and I dont have to go into his little room and play on his TV, I just have him dock his switch on my living room TV and help em out.

With all that said I can take other systems with me places but I need a large bag just to stuff it all in, have to make sure names are on the controllers so my sons annoying friends dont try and claim our stuff as theirs, not to mention its much more cumbersome. With switch you can go places with the switch and a usb c cable, I take mine hiking up mountains in a backpack with a case on it. When I get to a nice destination I sit down and have a nice little gaming session. I read lots about other people whom spend 45min-2 hrs of their day commuting for work on busses or trains, that time is no longer spent trying not to look at someones nostril hairs so their quality of life is improved.

Additionally Switch will do better than Wii U even if it had only found success in Japan cause in Japan Handhelds dominate everything else...Period.. Add record sales from America and Europe and I would say people like the Switch.

@livedreamplay: Thats a very recent developement if true because two weeks ago and into last week Gamestop had zero units in store cause of a $500.00 online bundle, I know because I was hunting for my kid one. When people do get they they sit a few hours in the wii hours of the morning and are usually gone before noon. so easy to find one if calling around and driving store to store but not so in abundance that they are just sitting. All online retailers are constantly sold out and even state no in store pickup options cause the stores are reported as sold out. You must have been in a few times before noon to find one at a gamestop.

@timmyp1982: Its really the complete opposite of a Wii U, the only thing thats the same is the idea of taking it from the TV and going off TV, but the key differance is it isnt tethered wirelessly nor otherwise to the dock. Nintendo making this system essentially a portable you can also play at home along with combining its portable and console software teams under one roof signals that this thing is gonna replace both 3ds and Wii U, once those 3ds games in production get out of the way youll see lots of games trickle in, no more portable system games/sales cannibalising home console sales cause its all in one. Might not be for everyone but to think this thing is dead in the water is ludicrous, especially since its doing very well in spite of its limited library of games, in spite of its lack of power compared to other home consoles I can only see it succeeding even if I didnt have an interest I would be able to see its success a mile away. The only thing that could cause the Switch to fail is Nintendo themselves, Wii U was poorly marketed, had a terrible name that caused confusion, would get games than sequels could only be purchased on handheld..Wii U was a disaster but the Switch is the polar opposite of all those mistakes.

@Redblaze27: He said its dead, like currently, The system is doing anything but fail at the moment, it needs more titles and those are coming but the system is hitting a stride the Wii U just couldnt quite hit. Nintendo have done their homework for this systems launch now they need to find a way to keep up with production.

@gamestar73: either your trolling or dillusional, it doesnt compare to other consoles in many regards but it does fine and is portable which initially wasnt a selling point for me but having had visited a few hospitals and having gone to multiple birthday parties for kids I can say its the best thing since sliced bread. Also trying to find my kid one of these things now that hes got enough money for his own and guess what they sell faster than they can get them unboxed from the ups trucks.

@cantcatchzoom: When talking exclusives I dont think people are referring to XBOX Ones lineup as a whole but more the fact that no games are being developed to take real advantage of the Scorpio, your simply upgrading XONE games themselves which means nothing is native even through patches because all said titles were locked in and built the way they were, I highly doubt any devlopers are going to go in and rewrite the code to make the original assets 4k etc. Personally I know the games will look better but its not going to be night and day like going from xbox to xbox 360 transition, hell itll barely be an improvement over the xbox 360 to xbox one launch transition. slightly more fidelity, extra minor details but nothing to write home about.
