It's kind of hard to explain, but what old console games does your mind picture as HD long before we even had HDTV's on the market? I'd have to say:

Soul Calibur (Dreamcast) It looked so clean and clear that the next Soul Calibur game a couple years later just didn't impress me.

Silent Hill 2 (PS2) This was just beautiful back in the day.

Ninja Gaiden (Original Xbox) I only played this a tiny bit on my old CRT, but when I continued playing on my first HDTV years ago, it upscaled so nicely I couldn't believe it.

Code Veronica (Dreamcast) Claire's big ass was a nice change from the anorexic model from RE2. Everything else in the game looked great too of course.

What are your picks?

Like others have said, it has the feeling of an Indiana Jones movie. It's just magical how Naughty Dog managed to capture that. The voice acting, the way the characters behave, the villains, the action, animation, the music etc. Uncharted 3 was my first in the series and I really enjoyed it. By comparison, I've been playing Resident Evil 6 this week, which tries so hard to be a cinematic epic and fails so miserably that you wish no developer would ever try that approach in a game ever again, but ND did it right.

I was never NOT a PC gamer, but who else will be playing more and more on the PC in the future because of the way the console giants are beginning to do business? The issue with backwards compatibility on the new gen was a slow burn for me. It only now pisses me off with Sony announcing Playstation Now.

Rackzilla in Tiger Woods golf game, I forget which one. But he is a golfer dressed in a bunny outfit lol.

In fighting games, I always make a goofy looking guy and win against friends lol.

Voldo in SC is probably the best character to troll with if you know how to do his creeperish moves.

hahaha! nice.

Having never played a Mario Party game before, I picked one up for Wii while visiting my friends. We played the game and I picked Birdo from the get go. I kicked ass, so by the end of the first game my friends had nothing but hate for Birdo, which of course means that they were really hating on me. I kept picking Birdo and kept winning. It drove them crazy for the lulz. What characters have you used in multiplayer games to make your friends hate you?

found the Xbox voice commands to be cool can now rejoyce.

Black_Knight_00

Who found the Xbox voice commands to be cool? I wanted them to work so bad in Skyrim, but it was crap. I do hope it works well in the new systems though. I think the idea of voice is better for a lot of game things as long as it works of course.

[QUOTE="Legolas_Katarn"]Not many scary games made anymore. I bought System Shock 2 on the GOG sale and plan to play that.Miroku32

What is GOG? I still need to get System Shock 2. That's way back on my to do list.

This is GoG. They sell old games that run on modern systems without any kind of DRM. Sadly, their summer sale just ended so System Shock 2 is now $9.99 instead of $4.99.

Wow! $9.99? That's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay less than I expected. This will be way easier than trying to get a physical copy. Thanks for the link!

[QUOTE="marcheegsr"]

Im going to fire up Deadly premonition soon.

marcheegsr

How is it? Worth firing up?

I heard so many mixed things about the game but decided to buy it anyways.

The graphics are ps2 like. The gameplay is below average but the story is great. I have to admit this game is not for everyone but its really wierd and creepy and I like those sort of games. You have to take it for what it is.

Its different than any other game out there. With all that said, it's one of my favourite games. Almost feels like Im playing the original resident evil games.

For 40 bucks Im really enjoying it. Totally worth it. You could probably find it cheaper now too.

Well it sounds worth keeping in the radar. Would like to try that game.
