@FelipeInside: You are not listening to what we are saying, instead you hold fast that Windows is the only way for pc gaming. When steam launched back in the day it was marred with buggs and faults which they eventually sorted out. Right off the batt SteamOS is not going to be the replacement for all things windows gaming. It will become so in the future for sure for two reasons. (as i have explained already)

1. Windows is moving towards mobile/tablature designed interface. They have already written off pc gaming as somethign that will not make them money so why support it. Xbox is their future and that is why they still update DirectX.
2. SteamOS is first a gaming platform, that is it's aim, but it also allows for you to build your own pc (for cheap and upgrade it as you go along) or use the Steam machine as a normal pc.

Believe what you want you are entitled to it, just please don't cry one day when you're Microsoft decided to trade you in for mobile phone gaming.

Anyway im tired of this argument, you believe what you like and guys like myself and the like will move forward with pc gaming as it evolves.

Too bad nobody who is a gamer cares, because they all use Windows. Only server admins and hackers have any use for that operating system.

Yeah and it's a shame most of you PC Gamers don't care. The funny thing is, your own fanboyism will be the end of you. Go ahead, put down Valve for wanting to innovate and make Linux a viable alternative then sign your own death sentence when Windows 7 support is finally pulled and your stuck gaming on some crappy metro tablet Windows OS.

It's funny how the biasness and selfishness, stupidity, ignorance, closed-mindedness of PC Gamers will be what hurts pc gaming the most.

Well said...You will probably find that they also have a console(s) and only dabble with a pre-built pc now and again to play games not available for consoles.

Remember this the SteamOS is a gaming system first and then a pc also. You can do what you want with it.

What do you mean?

You install SteamOS and it's just Steam on your PC, nothing else. You really can't do anything you want with SteamOS, just use Steam and games. In any case I consider that a more closed system than Windows. In the future it may expand into something else but right now you are giving up everything Windows does (which includes running Steam), just to run Steam by itself.

Which is probably not that big a deal, SteamOS is meant to be put on a PC thats in the living room, and used just for gaming. You can always just put windows, or a linux distro on your main PC if you want to do more.

Yeah of course, I was just commenting on that because it seems a lot of people are getting confused thinking SteamOS is just like a normal Linux Distro, where you can install office suites etc.

and that is exactly what you can do, install applications on it, being based on Debian. I think you need to read what SteamOS is about.

"Now, the final stages of its plan are in place. SteamOS is Valve's own operating system, designed primarily for PC manufacturers and home-brew hackers who want a simple, cheap PC in front of their TV instead of an expensive and restricted games console."

As seen in here: http://www.stuff.tv/valve/hands-steamos/feature

and yes, you are also correct it will be harder to use it as a normal work pc but it is possible.

"There is a traditional desktop mode, using GNOME, but while most Linux distros come with word processors, email clients, video and photo editing tools built-in, SteamOS is barren of such things by default. Adding them isn't hard, since SteamOS is based on Debian and so any software repository designed for Debian should work in Steam, but Valve has always been clear that SteamOS is not intended to be a Windows replacement.

If you want Linux and Steam on a desktop PC or a laptop, install Ubuntu and grab Steam from the built-in app store – it'll be a much better experience."

I am seriously exited about SteamOS and have the Beta running presently. I believe this is the best thing for pc gaming in years. Some games i want to play on my TV screen with a controller and most games i want to play with the mouse and keyboard and on a tv or monitor. Its my choice which i cant do on a console ( or atleast not cheap). Very important, pc games play differently than a console ported game.

Remember this the SteamOS is a gaming system first and then a pc also. You can do what you want with it. It's a totally free Operating system and no more hold over us by Microsoft. It has a big community that contributes to software development. In 5yrs from now you could have upgraded your SteamOS pc many times (you dont have to upgrade) and the new PS4/Xbox One will still have the same hardware and graphics, and this is the big bonus of SteamOS.

With gaming manufacturers coming on board slowly but surely it will get so much better and more games will be available to us. Its a fact that pc sales have dropped considerably and that the mobile/tab gaming have increased so much more and even overtaking the console player numbers ( might be wrong with this last fact). Basically pc's will become a extinct animal.

Microsoft has already shown what direction they moving into with Win8 tablature style GUI and their partnership with Nokia phones.

@foxhound_fox: So damn true, i mean gay people want to be normal but we always have to hear about this and that gay here and gay there, instead of just living. Gay parades to me personally only instigates anger instead of acceptance. Why have them when you just want to be normal.

Hey all, ive been playing become a legend for a few weeks now. Problem is my one save file got corrupted and i had to use my older save file. What it means is the first team i joined (PEC Zwolle), i signed a contract for 2yrs with Valencia FC which is good. Unfortunately this was in the profile (save game) that was corrupted. Now i am turned down by every team out there. They send a scout over, he likes it and the agent do talks with them. They stay undecided for a while and then they just turn me down. What affects those decisions?

I mean i have the same rating as before 63, which is not great but have worked before in getting me signed. Now it's just impossible it seems. How do one increase your chances to get signed by a better team (not talking Barcelona or Arsenal here).

Also what is the best way to increase your stats?

Thx in advance

Hey all, when trying to buy the Take on Helicopters DLC "Hinds" from Steam it says something like "You must first have the base game installed to continue".

Problem is i have hte dvd verison and installed. I even added it to Steam account but still cannot buy the DLC on steam. Is there a way around it or is it not possible unless i buy the Steam version of the game?

THx
