I think the PS4 is a great console but I will be holding off on buying one for several reasons:
1. I don't have much time to play
2. I would need a TV as well as the PS4 since I move between 2 houses depending on where I am working
3. There really isn't a launch lineup that I am interested in. (I've given killzone 2 chances to impress me and it failed both times)
4. The PS Vita TV won't be available on launch and I was planning on using that to stream games to both my houses....I need to see that it actually works before I get one though.
Others will have their own reasons for wanting a PS4 on launch or waiting. But either way, I sure as hell won't be getting an Xbox any time. lol
This reminds me of the trackballs they brought out in 2000 and you would find them everywhere, especially public computers or high end mice for home computers. There was a reason they didn't stick around. They just weren't very good. One of the big reasons they weren't very good would be having to pause a motion, readjust your hand and restart a motion. Something the steam demo video above attempted to mask. This is not very good for most games at all. Also, having to click the ball (or the pad in this case) can lead you to jump your aim and miss. I just don't think this controller will catch on, except for the steam faithful.
once there is a decent set of tools for devs (like ragdoll physics or physX for the last gen) then issues like those described by the KZ dev willbe minimised. The PS4 itself, as mark cerny explained, ismuch easier to develop for than the ps3.
I hate how some women try to be a feminist almost just to be hipster (different/controversial). I think gender equality is very good in the west and even in most of the east. Female leaders in western and eastern countries being just one example.
What must be remembered is that females ARE different to males and they shouldn't be treated exactly the same. There are reasons why most nurses are female, most fire dept workers are male and why most authors of cooking blogs are female (these are just some random examples). We are wired differently. It's why men are attracted to adverts of sexy women and women are not as attracted to adverts of sexy men.
Misogyny these days is shown in movies and games to highlight a backward nature. Characters that are misogynstic aren't painted as heroes just as murderers or drug dealers in this game are not painted as heroes. Carolynn was just trying to be controversial by criticising the use of misogyny and completely misinterpreting the function of it's inclusion in the game.
Anyway, saying the above, no need for personal attacks on anyone despite them being controversial to an unnecessary degree. This is just a video game. No need to send such threats to someone who dislikes a part of the game you don't care about.
whoa whoa whoa! Let me get this straight. So this little (and I mean tiny) gizmo will let you stream your PS4 games to it, will let you play your vita games on a TV and also doubles up as a streaming movie box??? What is the point of getting a psvita unless you literally play it on the go?
I was thinking of getting a vita because I work as a doctor in a hospital quite far from my home home and not only that but often times I can have on call shifts that can be very quiet and there are only so many channels in the doctor's mess room. If I had this I could play it on the tv in the mess and also the tv back in my home from home! I can imagine a lot of people who have a similar situation, students, travelling blue collar workers/salesmen, those with multiple TVs but the one main TV being used by someone else etc etc. I LOVE this little box!
