Game is unfortunately broken with no pathces since release. It's incomplete, with tons of glitches.  Spelling errors throughout.  No chat with your alliance members...so all day long they're attacking you.  You can't say stop i'm on your team for crying out loud.  Battle list is broken with the same users for weeks now.  Prices for your equipment to buy is astronomical.  (This equipment is used in order to do quests..so you're stuck at a certain point where you can't go any further unless you purchase these items).  Which in turn makes you have to either buy the money with real money, or grind to get it, but the way they have it setup would take you months in order to buy one item.  I could go on...but i'm not. As of two days ago can't even log on now with connection timed out error.

[QUOTE="Marfoo"] Yeah, if you're paying, NOD32 or Kaspersky Internet Security. I've been using KIS since 2006, great program, I would recommend it wholeheartedly as well.wizoforb

Haha if Marfoo said to use one of those then I probably should. So in case you guys didn't see my other question, does AVG free include anti spyware stuff too?

Look at this recent review of 10 of them...see what you think....MaximumPC

top 10?

[QUOTE="Marfoo"][QUOTE="Duckman5"]When I used it it was bloated and didn't find all the viruses I had. Never liked it. However pay antivirus software from Kaspersky and Eset (Nod32) are both fantastic. If you want to pay then I recommend Nod32 wholeheartedly. (I use it)SilentSoprano

avg free edition coupled with free super anti-spyware is all you need in my opinion. And, if you want another option I'd suggest ESET Nod32 as an option for pc gamers. It doesnt intrude at all in your system resources. Stay nine billion feet away from Norton and Mcafee. They are resource hogs...dont need em stay away.ydnarrewop
Norton has been revamped like I said and uses the least amount of system resources. 52mb.

I just installed a new motherboard. All of the cables and everything are plugged in where they are supposed to go and everything, but when I go to start the computer there's just a blank screen. My monitor light goes from green to orange within seconds of turning it on. The fans are going and everything also so I know it's on and running. What's the problem??

You did reformat your harddrive with a fresh windows install right? Sounds like you didn't???

It doesn't even sound like it's going past the POST, so I don't believe it to be a hard drive issue yet. So, by the sounds of it, you aren't even hearing a beep from your BIOS saying your POST has been completed correct? As the others have mentioned, ensure that your cpu/heatsink are seated correctly. Also as mentioned above, try adding one memory stick at a time. It sounds like your PSU is working as you get a few lights. In order to get past your POST, you need basically need 4 working parts, your PSU, CPU, Memory and motherboard. Make sure that 4-pin powersupply is connected (if it is on your mobo, again as mentioned above). Did you overflex your mobo when installing the different components? Traces and other parts of the mobo could have been damaged if you were a bit to forceful trying to install components.

If all of the above check out fine, and you get one beep, then your computer has passed its POST, and if there are no further errors, it should go onto the Boot.ini, NTLoader etc, and start looking for your OS. If you get more than one beep after your POST, then you'll have to look up that beep code and see what it relates to by looking it up at your mobo manufacturers website.

But above all, you should be trying to get that one beep right after your computer starts. If you don't hear it, then the most likely candidates are your PSU, CPU, Memory or motherboard.

right right I was thinking different. :\

Avast is a system hog 2. using 100mb of Memory. Avira replaces AVGfree as the new free anti virus program. Norton 09' (paid) is the best using the least memory. Norton 09' has been revamped, and performs the best.

[QUOTE="SilentSoprano"]

My AVG is at version 8.0.237, and when i click Update Now to get to the latest version which is 8.5 or something, it just downloads a real quick update that is the same one I have already downloaded, and everytime I clock update now it does the same thing, and it always says "Updating complete". Can someone help?

Daytona_178
Thats because AVG sucks! Just kidding,,,uninstall it then download the LATEST version from filehippo.com or something.

Compared to other antiviruses it does suck. It eats more system resources than others. I read it's not as good as it used to be. Believe it or not Norton Internet security 09' performs better than most also Eset Smart security.
