This false belief that if game is was being developed on the PC the graphics would be X times better is remarkable. Is it convenient to pretend that PC games are not also limited by hardware penetration?
There are plenty of third party games that release on console and PC and look better on PC. So, it doesn't have to be specifically developed for PC to be better. Imagine if UC4 was released as a multi-plat and the talent at Naughty Dog was allowed to go nuts on the PC version. It would be incredible. We would be able to scale the game according to our hardware and we would not have to suffer 30fps.
Is there a developer that has released a game on the PC and went "nuts" with what they can do on the PC? Nope. This idea that there would be some magical jump is a lie. Can you get better resolution? Yes. Better framerate? Yes. Better textures? Maybe. It is has never been cost effective to cater for high end systems. They make up the smallest market share of gaming as a whole.

Normally I would've hyped this game to the max, but unfortunately they've started to release Civilization games in bits and pieces where you have to wait for multiple expansions to add basic features. I'm keeping my expectations in check after last two Civ games.
They said Civ VI includes all expansion features of Civ V
@Terrorantula:
but somehow could see me (usually just below my level). That has never happened once in my 2k_ hours of playing TF2.
There is an ultimate that shows people through walls. Git gud.
That's the most retarded bs I've ever heard
it's only temporary though, and the recharge takes a while.
If you're good at headshots, you can keep it up nearly the entire time
Call of Duty and United Offensive, with maybe a slight edge to Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30.
came here for this
Old news. Luckily the game still supports mods, so that's a relief. But I am still anti- DRM.
it comes with mod tools and steam workshop on day one, they even have known TW modders in their offices right now making mods for release, one of which is co-op campaign fro two people as the same race.
The modding is gonna be nuts.
I'm still not seeing how this change of setting is a game changer for people.
They're making an alternative history WW1 game...yay?
That just seems like such a copout. They know they can't go all the way, so they take some major creative liberties to make it work. I would have vastly preferred a 2142 sequel. It takes some real creativity to make cool future guns and concepts. Taking old WW1 guns and modifying them to work in a fast paced action game just seems dull.
It's not alternate reality. Everything is grounded in real life. They aren't modifying old guns to make them work in a modern battlefield game.
I see a lot of WW1 is a boring setting for a FPS going around. But how can we know ? How many AAA shooters set in WW1 do we have ?
I always assumed Wild West would be a boring setting for a shooter, but I enjoyed Red Dead Redemption and Call of Juarez Gunslinger a lot ! Sometimes a game just needs to show a setting can work... to pave the way.
People think it's boring because they were only told of the trenches in France, not realizing the world was at war, there were many fronts and many fighting styles.
