How is it that you played online? The servers seem to be offline? I can't connect to them and have read about many other people not being able to.

I purchased the game and the servers aren't up yet. So I believe they are having problems with their servers. They probably aren't going to release the free PS+ version until they have them sorted out, because It would be pretty pointless to give people a demo-ish version look into the game if the game is offline only, so basically half a game. I suspect when the servers come up the PS+ free version will be out.

Hm, that sucks. im still going to get it, but ill have to live with the flaws. i have a question for you, when you say the stuff about accuracy, does the notes lag, or you just have to hit the frets harder? cause the buttons will wear in, GH2 took forever for mine to be easy to push.

Taylor9124

sometimes the notes lag (as far as strumming the same note repeatedly),sometimes it just seems like they aren't registering when I play them, even though I know I'm pressing the fretsperfectly. I will give it a chance though to break in the buttons, and then review the guitar again.

And I will be getting rock band too!

October 28th, 12:15am, I get my shiney new Guitar HeroIII (ps3)guitar and game out its package, and get it all ready. I have been waiting for this game for months and was eager to get to rockin' out. That's when I hit my first snag, I start the first song in career on expert and quickly realize that my orange fret button wasn't working at all. After checking around online to see if there was a patch available, I get to hop in my car and race back to the store to try and catch them before they close. They tell me myguitar was broken and happily replace it with a new one. Wasn't a large problem but still was quite an inconvienence.

Now on to my real gripes with the game. The first thing that was quite rediculous about the game was the abundance of bright backround lights that make the fret board difficult to concentrate on at times. Also the other side of the annoying graphics is the pop-ups for "STAR POWER READY!" and "## NOTE STREAK!" These pop-ups come up directly in the center of the screen which can easily mess up a large streak or multiplier.

The other problem with this game seems to be with the accuracy of the controller. The box advertised "increased accuracy" with the fret buttons but it seems to be quite the opposite. I have trouble hitting many chord combinations that I had absolutely no trouble with in previous games. The problem seems to be with the new guitar fret buttons. They have to be pushed harder to register, and while that may add realism it ultimately makes the game less enjoyable.

I feel that ps3 owners really got the shaft when it comes to this game too, because if a 360 or ps2 owner doesnt like the new guitar they can go back to their old guitar or buy a different one. While ps3 owners are stuck with this new one, most dissapointing.

Overall I'm dissapointed with the graphical changes in GH3 and the new guitar is nothing great. Mostly I'm dissapointed that Neversoft got their grubby little hands on this game and ruined it. Hopefully they will never be apart of any Red Octance production again.
